Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Blue, 71, who died Tuesday at her home in Vardaman after a lingering illness, were held from the Vardaman Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm. The Rev. L. F. Hill, the Rev. E. S. Furr and the Rev. J. F. Hartley officiated at the last rites. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery with Cook Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Blue had made her home in Vardaman for approximately thirty years. She was born in Calhoun County on Sept. 9, 1882, the daughter of William and Mary Adams. She was a devout member of the Vardaman Baptist Church.
She leaves her husband, Mr. Macon Blue; one brother, N. D. Adams, of Plantersville, MS; one sister, Mrs. Savannah Galiger of Vardaman, and a number of nieces and nephews, and several step-children.
Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.
