Jessie R. Austin 96, of Rumsey, Kentucky. Died Friday May 2, 2003 at the Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun. She was born October 20, 1906 in Hopkins County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Verda Blue. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jewell City Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Basil B. Austin died January 6, 1998; and a son, Glenn E. Austin died May 15, 1996.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Bobby & Earlene Austin of Calhoun. Four grandchildren Shirley Carrico of Owensboro, Sharon K. Gish of Philpot, Vonda Donahoo, and Vicky Hill both of Calhoun. 6 great grandchildren. 7 great great grandchildren. And a brother Bernie Blue of Madisonville.
