A. Adelaide Blowers, 83, wife of Wallace E. Blowers, died peacefully June 20, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Brewer, the daughter of Bruce and Dorothy (Stone) Mott. She was a member of the Aldworth Chapter No. 39 OES, and had recently joined the Joseph P. Chaisson Post No. 41 American Legion Auxiliary. She was a devoted homemaker and especially enjoyed having her family come to visit her. A special pleasure was watching her grandchildren and great-grand-children playing in the pool. Adelaide is survived by her beloved husband of
30 years, Wallace Blowers of LaGrange; her children [redacted for privacy]; her stepchildren [redacted for privacy]; her brothers and sisters [redacted for privacy]; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, including a special niece [redacted for privacy]; and long time friends, Myla Treadwell of Glenburn and Rhoda Stanley of LaGrange. She was predeceased by her first husband, William T. Long Jr.; a brother, Herbert Mott; a son, John Long; a grandson, Harold Turner Jr.; and a granddaughter, April D. Randall. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the family lot in Hillcrest Cemetery, LaGrange, with Pastor Maria Guereca officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the LaGrange Veterans Memorial Fund, care of United Kingfield Bank, P.O. Box 188, Milo, ME 04463. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo.
