WORCESTER - Jean F. (Robertson) Blondin, 77, of Worcester, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 surrounded by her family at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center after an illness.
She was the loving wife for 44 years of Richard H. Blondin, who died in 2001.
She leaves three sons, Michael J. Blondin and his wife Lori of York Beach, ME, Kevin J. Blondin and his wife Janis of Johnston, R.I. and Gregory A. Blondin and his wife Monica of Paxton, five grandchildren, Nicholas, Camden, Kiley, Trinity, and Bridget Blondin, a sister and best friend, Judith M. Robertson of Rutland, three brothers, Robert W. Robertson of Leicester, Gordon A. Robertson of Manchester, N.H., and Donald F. Robertson of Tulsa, OK, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many wonderful and caring friends. She was also the sister of the late Arnold L. Robertson of Leicester.
Jean was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Percival & Florence (Tatman) Robertson of Worcester, and lived in Worcester her entire life.
She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester, and attended Becker Junior College. She worked at the United States Postal Service for 10 years before retiring in 2000.
Jean was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Worcester.
Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester, are Tuesday, March 22nd from 4 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1070 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
