Bobby Blocker, 60, of Jesup, Georgia died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 under the care of Georgia Hospice Care. The Wayne County, Georgia native was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a truck driver with Merritt and Sons Trucking. His hobbies included farming, fishing and working on tractors. He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Katherine Blocker; sister, Vivian Lolies; brothers, Gerald Blocker and Jimmy Blocker.
Survivors are his wife, Hilda Harrison Blocker of Jesup; daughter, Laura (Gerardo) Betancourt of Jesup; son, Troy (Jen) Blocker of Brunswick; step-daughter, Sunni Blocker of Jesup; 5 grandchildren, Karina, Alex, and Miley Betancourt and Samantha and Calvin Blocker; sister, Geraldine Harvey of Jesup; brother, Buddy Blocker of Jesup; special friend, Evelyn Grantham of Jesup and her children, Sean, Michael, and Toppa Boyce; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Mr. Paul Lynch and Mr. Ricky Mallard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the graveside.
