Mr. Tommy L. Blizzard, 80, passed away Tuesday January 16, 1962, at his residence. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 18, at the Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Blizzard was born August 20, 1881 in Washington County, son of the late Calvin Blizzard, Jr. and Susan Crooms Blizzard. He was a farmer and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Kizzie Durden Blizzard of Linton; 4 daughters: Florrie B. Radney and Estelle B. Meeks both of Linton, Louise Lester and Susie Stephens, both of Sandersville; 6 grandchildren: Louie Sanders, Eunice Meeks, Carol Meeks, William Lester, Eula Stephens, and Gloria Stephens; 2 great-grandchildren: Eugene Meeks and Curtis Meeks; a sister, Mrs. Alice Brookins of Milledgeville; brother, Jessie Blizzard of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews.
