Funeral services for Mrs. Artie Dell Blizzard, age 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at New Home Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev.'s Bill Snipes and Donnie Baker will officiate.

Mrs. Blizzard was born October 6, 1931 in Johnson County; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late James Arlie and Melinda Price Lindsey, husband, Joseph Vezy Blizzard and a brother, Ostell Lindsey. She was a self-employed seamstress for many years and was a member of New Home Baptist Church. Mrs. Blizzard passed away, Sunday September 19, 2010, following an extended illness.

She is survived by her sons, Harvey (Debbie) Blizzard of Wrightsville and Donald (Shannon) Blizzard of Wrightsville, 5 sisters, Alice Reese of Warner Robins, Lonie Ree (Ray) Spivey of Macon, Inez (Toby) Veal of Wrightsville, Eveline (Norman) Schneller of Stockbridge and Betty (Doug) Bush of Lousiana, 5 grandchildren, Aaron Blizzard, Risa (Davy) Kight, Melissa (Jay)Price, Hallie Blizzard and Max Blizzard, 4 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Kight, Charley Price, Jade Price and Jesse Kight and her special friend and care-giver, Lillie Burnett.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Veal, Hugh Veal, James Veal, Randy Lindsey, Bobby Blizzard and Roy Powell. The deacons of New Home Baptist Church will serve as honorary escorts.
