ALPHA JEANETTE COLLINS BLEVINS, 68, of Duncan, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007, in her home.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Baptist Church of Duncan. Burial will be in Lone Wolf Cemetery under direction of People's Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
Jeanette was born May 17, 1939, in Hobart, to Albert and Alpha Collins. She attended school at Lone Wolf, graduating in 1957. She married Donnel Blevins on June 8, 1957. They lived in Blair for several years, then moved to Duncan, where Jeanette worked at Gibson's Discount Store in the sporting goods department for 23 years. She retired in 2000 and began traveling, fishing and working in her garden.
Jeanette enjoyed cooking and being around family and friends. Jeanette is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Donnel Blevins; a son, Donald Lloyd Blevins and wife Cathy of Duncan; a daughter, Lana Blevins Dismuke and husband Troy of Duncan; two grand-children, Joshua Blevins and Elizabeth Blevins, both of Duncan; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Albert Lloyd Collins.
