Minnie Alvenia Blevins Prince of Cuba, Missouri was born January 27, 1914 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Walter E. and Margaret P. (nee Klotz) Ermert and left from this life on Friday, December 9, 2005 in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Minnie retired from Elders Medical Clinic after 35 years as a medical bookkeeper.
She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri, St. Paul's Ladies Aide, Three Mile Club, former secretary/treasurer for the fair board and secretary/treasurer for over 40 years of the Mounts Cemetery Association.
Minnie was united in marriage to Russell Blevins on June 10, 1933 and to this union three children were born, Dale, Larry and June. A few years after Russell's death, Minnie was united in marriage to Nick Prince on July 11, 1987.
Minnie is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
Minnie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those who survive to mourn her passing are her three children Dale (Carol) Blevins of Cuba, Missouri Larry (Tena) Blevins of St, James, Missouri and June (Forrest) Pierce of St. Louis, Missouri; two step children Carmela Kalinowski and Nicki (Michael) DiFranco; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, December 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, 904 West Washington St. Cuba, Missouri and also at the church Tuesday, December l3 from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, December 13, 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 730 Fleenor Rd. Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Musical selections were provided by organist Donna Bond.
Pallbearers were Russell, Paul, Walter, Tony and Scott Blevins and Jason Lammert.
Burial was in the Mounts Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
