Marie Balough, age 88, of Yorkville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the Hillside Healthcare Center in Yorkville, Illinois. She was born on November 12, 1915 in White Lake, SD, the daughter of Theodore and Margaret (Carstensen) Blazer.
Marie was united in marriage to John I. Balough and they spent many happy years together until his passing on February 19, 1997. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. Marie was a homemaker all of her life, having made her home in Yorkville since 1967. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her three children, John (Nancy) Balough of McHenry, Illinois, David (Dianne) of Yorkville, Illinois and Diane (Thomas) Golden of Thurman, NY; her four grandchildren, Thomas Matthew Golden, Meaghan Golden, Brian Balough and Amanda Balough; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Balough; three sisters and two brothers.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2004 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, Illinois with Father Dan Stempora officiating. Interment will be private.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, November 5, 2004 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Oswego, Illinois.
