Catholic prayer service for Georgia Jean Blaz, 61, loving wife of Terrence Blaz, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in KT Riddle Funeral Homes Anaconda Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Drury officiating. Inurnment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Georgia died April 11, 2006, in St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, after losing a four-year, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 20, 1944, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Robert John and Marcella Katherine (Lynch) Damge. She graduated from East High School in Waterloo in 1962.
Georgia married Robert Graham and their marriage was blessed with two children, before they divorced. Georgia and her children moved to California, where she was employed by TWA Airlines of Los Angeles.
On Oct. 14, 1984, she married Terrence Blaz at the Las Vegas Chapel of the Stars. They were blessed with a son, Ryan Vincent. They moved to Woodlake, Calif., where she was employed as clerk and recorder for Tulare County. They moved to Anaconda in November 2005.
Georgia loved to sew, crochet, dance and go camping and fishing. "Georgie Girl" will be sadly missed by her husband, family, and her multitude of friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
Survivors include her loving husband, Terry of Anaconda; their son, Ryan of Bakersfield, Calif.; her daughter, Tracy and husband, Glen Bower and grandson, Joshua, and her son, Troy Graham, all of California; sister, Roberta and husband, Larry Dawson of Waterloo, Iowa; stepdaughter, Adrienne and husband, Brandt Sweet; stepsons, Joshua and Matthew Blaz; and step-granddaughters, Aryaha Sweet and Jayden Blaz, all of Butte; mother-in-law, Doris Blaz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judith Bowman, Silverdale, Wash., Margaret and Larry Bock, Bremerton, Wash., Linda and Jerold Forkan, Tom and Debbie Blaz, David and Judy Blaz, all of Anaconda; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Thomas V. Blaz.
Services and cremation are under the care of KT Riddle Funeral Homes, Anaconda.
