Memorial services for Lynelle Kea Meyer of McMinnville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in McMinnville. Private graveside services will be held prior to the memorial services.
Mrs. Meyer died of natural causes on Monday, June 27, 2005, in her home. She was 34.
Born April 22, 1971, in Tacoma, Wash., she was the daughter of Raymond K. and Betty L. Blatt.
She and Breck D. Meyer were married Dec. 16, 1989, in Newberg. They settled in McMinnville in 1990.
Mrs. Meyer enjoyed raising rabbits. She helped her five children raise and show rabbits at various events. She was a 4-H leader and a superintendent at the Yamhill County Fair.
She was known for her knowledge of small animals, and for her compassion. She often nursed sick kittens and birds back to health.
"She enjoyed helping others and was known for having a big heart, especially when it came to children," her family said.
Mrs. Meyer also enjoyed dancing at the Flying M Ranch and listening to country music with friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Matthew of McMinnville; four daughters, Crystal, Ashley, Kaitlyn and Kelsie, all of McMinnville; her father, Ray Blatt of Spanaway, Wash.; four sisters, Cathy Speer of Hillsboro, Marianne Coenen of Iowa, Lori Sanford of Tualatin and Eileen Christian of the Isle of Mann, United Kingdom; and two brothers, Randy Twede of McMinnville and Michael Twede of Portland. She was preceded in death by her mother on May 29, 2005.
Arrangements are under the direction of Family View Memorial in Portland. Contributions may be made to the Yamhill County 4-H program, care of Pamela Oleson, OSU Extension Office, 2050 N.E. Lafayette Ave., McMinnville, OR 97128.
