Mrs. Freddie Blasengame, 89, of Star City, died Wednesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born June 24, 1920 in Lincoln County to the late Marshall Delaware and Jewel Pearl Raney McCool. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Obie Blasengame; sister, Beulah Rodgers McCool; and brothers, Jim McCool, Bobby McCool, Billy McCool.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jimmy Blasengame and wife Jo, Marshall Blasengame, all of Star City; 2 daughters, Katherine Mayers and husband Ray of Rock Springs, Wanda Jones and husband Paul of Star City; 3 sisters, Frankie Bland and husband Joe of Pine Bluff, Christine McCall, Mavis Weast and husband Charles, all of Star City; Six grandchildren, Lisa Freeman, Amy Edwards and husband Bill, Steve Blasengame and wife Sandra, Cody Blasengame and wife Kayla, Melanie Blasengame, and Lacey Blasengame. Other survivors include five great grandchildren, Kara Freeman, Heath Swain, Dustin Blasengame, Anna Blasengame and Fisher Blasengame.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Bro. Bill Davidson will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sanders Creek Deer Camp Members. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
