Mrs. Seretha Ann Blanton Beck, age 79, of South Hill, died Friday, January 29, 2016, at her residence. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Lee W. Blanton and Mary Lee (Jones) Blanton.
She was retired from Mecklenburg County Public Schools having served over twenty years in food service at Buckhorn Primary and Buckhorn Elementary schools and a member of South Hill Church of God.
Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband of sixty-three years Lawrence M. Beck, four daughters Sheila B. Cassada (Victor) of South Hill, Sandy B. Luther (J.R.) of Greensboro, NC, Lawrenceen B. Smith (Melvin) of La Crosse and Sherry B. Tanner (Bobby) of South Hill, three grandchildren; Hailey Smith, Brooke and Holden Tanner, two sisters; Shirley Bosher of Manson, NC and Mary Lee Farrar of South Hill, she was predeceased by three brothers; James Blanton, Dick Blanton and Edward Blanton and two sisters Kathleen King and Dorothy Tench.
ARRANGEMENTS:
A Funeral Service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Canaan Cemetery, Brodnax. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 pm, until the hour of service at 2:00 pm, at the Funeral Home.
