JASONVILLE--Arthur Blanton, 330 Eleventh St. NE, Linton, formerly of Jasonville, died at noon Wednesday at the Greene County General Hospital.
Born March 8, 1901 in Greene County, Blanton was the son of James M. and Margaret (Tendick) Blanton. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Jasonville Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Jasonville Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include the widow, Esta Marie (Terhune), two sons, James A. of Kokomo, and Kenneth of Lyons; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Moody, of Washington; three brothers, Alvin and Elmer, both of Jasonville, and Clarence of Kalamazoo, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at McClanahan Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Allen Buzard officiating and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery at Clay City. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today where Masonic memorial rites will be held at 8 p.m. today.
