Mrs. Betty Blanton, 75, resident of Staffordsville, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Long, Ashland, Monday evening, November 20, 1961, after an illness of three years. The daughter of John and Lourane Webb Davis, she was born at Oil Springs April 24, 1875. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. Her Husband, Harry Blanton preceded her in death July 1934. Surviving are two sons, Johnny Blanton, Paintsville; Wayne Blanton, Staffordsville; seven daughters, Mrs. John Osborne, Prestonsburg; Mrs. Walter Long, Ashland; Mrs. Ted Bayes, Staffordsville; Mrs. Joe Long, Mrs. Orville Fink and Anna Lou Rowe all of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Elmer Dutton, Urbana, Ohio; one brother, Vint Davis, Oil Springs; one sister Mrs. Victoria Reed, Paintsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m.; Thursday at the Barnetts Creek United Baptist Church and burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
