BLANTON, Clyde Herbert Jr. of Richmond died Monday, June 11, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Suzanne Nash Blanton; three daughters, Alyson Blanton Stoakley and her husband, Michael, Anne Hunter Blanton and her fiance, Matt Hunter, and Kate Blanton Thomas and her husband, Ross; one granddaughter, Kathryn Vail Thomas; his mother, Alice Blanton; and his sister, Vicki Blanton Tolbert. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Herbert Blanton. He was a member of River Road Church, Baptist and attended the University of Richmond, was employed by GMAC Mortgage as an associate district manager, was an avid golfer, member of Hermitage Country Club and enjoyed playing golf with the "Clydesdales." He was past president of the Richmond Ostomy Association. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Lower Commons at River Road Church, Baptist, 8000 River Road. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, at River Road Church, Baptist. Interment to follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or River Road Church, Baptist Endowment.
