Jewel Blanton, 91, of Lumberton died May 24, 2001, at Alpine Terrace Nursing Center in Kerrville. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Broussard's on McFaddin in Beaumont with burial at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. A native of Nacogdoches, she lived in Lumberton many years before moving to Kerrville two years ago. Survivors include sons, L.E. "Gene" Blanton of Kerrville and Sam Blanton of Bryan; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
