Mr. Martin Ray Blanton, age 84 of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mr. Blanton was a member of North Rockwood Baptist Church in Rockwood. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Blanton was a Retired Operator from TVA-Watts Bar with 20+ years of Service. He was born November 28, 1929 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Sam & Martha Blanton.
Mr. Blanton is preceded in Death by Wife of 60 years: Helen Blanton; Parents: Sam & Martha Blanton; Brothers; Sam Blanton & Robert Blanton
He is survived by Son: Buddy Blanton (Gail) of Rockwood, Tennessee Daughters: Alice Clark (Charlie) of Rockwood, Tennessee, Jane Morgan (Preston) of Rockwood, Tennessee.
Brother: George Gray (Jan) of Dayton, Ohio 8 Grandchildren: Jennifer, David, Daniel, Travis, Aaron, Olivia, Jessica, Olivia 4 Great-Grandchildren: Kristin, Taylor, Sophia, Maddox Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Many Friends in the Rockwood Community.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday at 3:00pm in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee with Rev. Daniel Morgan, officiating. Family and Friends will meet at Cemetery for Services. Family requests memorial can be made to the charity of choice in memory of Martin Ray Blanton.
