John Jefferson Blanscet, 91, of Adams, Neb., died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. Born in Altus, he moved to Kansas as a young boy to make his home with his uncle and aunt, John and Nora Wells, and family. He attended Kansas Teachers College in Pittsburg, Kan., and taught school in Wilson County, Kan., before turning to farming full-time. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday at the Buffalo Methodist Church, in Chanute, Kans., with burial at High Prairie Cemetery.
John was born on August 2, 1914 and passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. John was last known to be living in Cortland, Nebraska.
Married December 23, 1942.
