CHARLENE BLANSCET died July 7, 2008, born December 5, 1931 in Casper, WY to Roy and Gertrude Stroh, both deceased. She worked for Marathon Oil as a secretary. There she met Jack, the man she would marry and live with for 50 years and 20 days until his death on March 28, 2001. Surviving her are daughters, Cathi and Larry Dietsch of Young Harris, GA and Jalene Blanscet of Missouri City; sister, Mary Lou; grandchildren, Alia and Alan Dietsch and great granddaughter, Raynah. Charlene was an accomplished bridge player becoming a life master. She was involved with Missouri City Women's Club and Tri City Women's Club. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Settegast Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street in Missouri City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to "Scene of the Accident" (SOTA), a non-profit dedicated to saving lives by training First Responders across the U.S. Memorials can be directed to SOTA, 4311 Shady River, Missouri City, Texas 77459.
