Katherine, 92, of Lansing, MI passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Katherine was born to Nathan and Edna (Davis) Morlan.
Katherine graduated from Big Rapids High School class of 1939. She married her first husband Grover Young and moved to Lansing in 1947.
After his passing in 1985, Katherine married Fred Blanck in 1989. She worked as a clerk for Auto Owners for 20 years and retired in 1980.
Katherine was a member of the Eagles Club, Ladies Aide Lutheran Club, BWL Retiree Club. She enjoyed gardening, collecting cookbooks and recipes.
Preceding her in death were her son, Neil Young; husband, Grover; 2 sisters; 2 brothers and her parents.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Blanck; daughter, Bonnie (Charlie) Boyd; son, Monte (Chris) Young; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Rosetta Morlan; brother, Michael Morlan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Wayside Chapel Ministries in Mason.
Burial will take place Saturday afternoon at Amble Cemetery in Winfield Township, Michigan.
