Doris Ann Blanchfield, 61, of 320 Spruce St., Waynesboro, passed away peacefully at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was born Feb. 23, 1945, in Fauquier County, the daughter of the late George E. and Mary S. Shifflett Knight.
She was retired from ConAgra Foods in Crozet and was a member of the Celebration Church of God in Waynesboro. She enjoyed her flowers and beaches.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Dickenson.
Survivors include her former husband, Danny Blanchfield of Waynesboro; daughters, Theresa Morris and her husband, David, Donna Morris and her husband, Hezzie, Wanda Blanchfield and her companion, Charlie Eakin, and Jamie Dickenson and Jessica Dickenson, all of Waynesboro; a stepdaughter, Cam Rodenburger of Charlottesville; three brothers, Wilson Knight, Ronnie Knight and his wife, Pat, all of Free Union, and George Knight of Earlysville; one sister, Barbara Sandridge of Charlottesville; five grandchildren, Scotty, Victoria and her husband, Chris, Joey, Krystal and her fiance', Jason, and Brittany; five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Brooklyn, Braelyn, Nathan and Anakin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris also leaves behind a very special family, the Dickenson's.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service with Pastor Jonathan King officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Allen, Mike, Mark Blanchfield, Rick Scott, Jason Ferrier and Dallas Fix.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service.
