Daughter of the late John Marshall and Alma Bradshaw Cobb, she was the widow of The Rev. John Rountree Blanchard, Sr. Additionally, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Gray Cobb and David Thomas Cobb. She was survived by her son, John Roundtree Blanchard, Jr.; daughters, Ruth Blanchard Dawson (Jimmy), Mary Blanchard Horne (Jim) and Sarah Blanchard White; grandchildren, Sherrie Ammond (Rodney), Jonathan Horne, Erin Horne and James Dawson, III; two great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends. Her funeral was held on October 2, 2010, at Atkinson Baptist Church with The Rev. Douglas Warnock officiating.
