ALBERT BLAKELY
Albert Blakely, familiarly known as Riley, was born in Randolph, Ia, August 22, 1881, and departed this life June 17, 1947, at Valentine, Nebr.
He was one of eleven children born to Thomas Blakely and Jane Coates, three brothers and two sisters having preceded him in death.
He came, when a small boy, with his father and mother to Blaine county, and lived with them on their homestead near Purdum, Nebr, for about seven years, and since that time has spent most of his life in Dunning.
He was united in marriage to Elsie Barton about 30 years ago.
He worked many years on the B and M railroad at Bridgeport and in Dunning.
He leaves to mourn his passing his twin sister, Mrs Alice Field, of Dunning, and four brothers, Robert of Seattle, Wash, Thomas of Halsey, John of Dunning and Chester of Valentine, and many friends who will miss him.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, June 21, at the community hall in Dunning, Rev John Lepke, pastor of the Blaine County Larger Parish, officiated. Mr and Mrs Raymond Anderson sang, accompanied by Mrs W C Robinson.
Interment was in the family lot in the Dunning cemetery. The pallbearers were Robert Mandeville, Arthur McMullen, Charles Riggs, Darwin R Riggs, Harve Whiteman and Russell Zutavern.
