THOMAS BLAKE PAULETTE BLAKE Thomas Kerry Blake and Paulette Jeanine Radley Blake, died together in a plane crash, Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, in Anchorage, Alaska. Kerry was born Aug. 28, 1953, in St. George, Utah, to Tom and Dora Blake. He was raised in Boulder City and graduated in 1971 from Boulder City High School. Paulette was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Phillips, S.D., to Louis and Meta Radley. She moved to Henderson when she was 14, and graduated from Basic High School in 1962. They were married April 24, 1979, in Henderson, where they lived and raised four daughters. They worked together for Clark County Animal Control, and then they worked in the construction field in the Las Vegas area. In the early 80's, they began spending the summers in Alaska, mining gold near Nome. Then they ran a private chartered fishing and hospitality service in Soldotna, and for the past three years, ran their own chartered fishing and bed and breakfast in Homer. Pahrump has been their winter home for the past six years. Together they lived the life that most people dream of. They were respected and loved by everyone who met and knew them. They are survived by Paulette's four daughters, who Kerry loved as his own, Tracy (Dave) Taft of Cascade, Mont., Sandy Little of Pahrump, Holly (Charles) Couchigan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Roni (Damon) Knowlton of Henderson; five grandsons and four granddaughters, Billy, Tory, Cory, Joshua, Kalyn, Taylor, Christopher, Molly, Sola and Oakley; and their great-grandchildren. Paulette is also survived by her mother, Meta Radley Dabney; three brothers and one sister, Marvin (Jody) Radley of Estill Springs, Tenn., Steve (Charlene) Radley and Roberta "Bertie" (Marian) Radley, both of Henderson, and Robert Radley of Pahrump; as well as, six nephews; and three nieces. Paulette was preceded in death by her father, Louis Radley. Kerry is also survived by his parents, Tom and Dora Blake of LaVerkin, Utah; four brothers and three sisters, Keena (Jeff) Jorgenson of Hurricane, Utah, Jeff (Dorcie) Blake of Mesa, Ariz., Dani (Keith) Bettridge of Anchorage, Alaska, Layna (Ken) Larsen of Boulder City, Royal (Susan) Blake of Phoenix, Ore., Wade (Amber) Blake of North Las Vegas, and Ben (Marcia) Blake of North Las Vegas; and one foster sister, Korynn Moore of Hurricane, Utah; as well as, 19 nephews; and 18 nieces. Kerry was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Christopher. Their funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at the LDS Chapel, 801 Arrowhead Trail in Henderson. The visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. The service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be held at Palm Memorial Park - Henderson immediately following the service.
