Charles Grenville Blake
Funeral services for Charles Grenville Blake, son of the Rev. James H.W. Blake, of Christ Church, Georgetown, who died Wednesday in Pittsburgh, were held at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the church of which his father is pastor. Bishop Alfred Harding officiated and was assisted by the Rev. J.J. Dimon and E.E. Sparling. The body, which was brought to Washington on Thursday, was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery. Miss Sarah Cromlish, to whom Mr. Blake had recently become engaged, attended the services. She left for her home in Pittsburgh last night.
Charles died of acute appendicitis at a Pittsburgh hospital, shortly after becoming engaged to Sarah McWhinney Cromlish of Pittsburgh. The following year Sarah married Edward Louis Wetstein on October 27, 1915. They had four daughters.
