Elda Lee (Nelson) Blair was born 8 Aug 1902 in El Paso, White Co., AR to W. O. "Willie" and Mary Ann (Stone) Nelson. She was the only child of this marriage. She was reared in White County and Lawrence County, Arkansas. She moved to Woodrow, Lubbock County, Texas with her mother and step-father William Frederick "Fred" Day in early 1920s. While working on a ranch she met her future husband Cliff Blair. She cared for their two sons and later worked in the family cafe with Cliff. She was always a caring person and taking care of someone else.
