He was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Killeen, the son of Melvin Ted and Edith Maxine Reaves Blair.
Blair served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He had worked for 22 years as a conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad and also for Wal-Mart.
Blair was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Belton.
Survivors include a son, Roy Dean Blair of Belton; a daughter, Kayla Marie Morris of Merkel; two brothers, Melvin Blair of Lake Jackson and Bobby Blair of Harker Heights; a sister, Virginia Elkins of Belton; and six grandchildren.
Blair was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie Blair in 1953.
