Lou Edna Blair, age 89, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 28, 2011 at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. James Baker officiating, assisted by Rev. Chris Stephens. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Lou Edna Blair was born April 17, 1921 in Nolan County, Texas to Samuel Christopher and Mary Bell (Stout) Cox. She married James Milam Blair in Sweetwater, Texas.

She was a L.V.N. at Simmons Memorial Hospital and also a home health care nurse for many years before retiring. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Walker and husband Randal and Dicie Stovall and husband Ron all of Sweetwater, Texas; three grandchildren, Kris Walker of Midland, TX; Tara Reed and husband Scotty of Corinth, TX; and Laci Mattison and husband Chris of Decatur, TX; five great-grandchildren, Casey LaRue; Tripp Reed; BriAna Reed; Brody Reed; Regan Mattison, and Jace Mattison and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Christopher and Mary Cox; husband, James Milam Blair; two granddaughters, Robin Walker LaRue and Shasta Stovall; and four sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Larry Willman, Ralph Stirl, Leon McElyea, Ross Hilliard, S.C. Head and Dalton Head.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 6:30 - 8:00 P.M.
