WIFE OF KENNETH EVERETT BLAIR
(PFC US MARINE CORPS)

Bartlett. TN - Dorothy Blair, 84, a long-time resident of Hixson, TN and a recent transplant to Memphis, TN to be near family, died peacefully in her son's home on Saturday afternoon. She is now in the presence of her Savior and Lord and reunited with her husband, Ken, who has been in heaven for over 11 years. Dot, or DotDot as she was named by a grandchild 25 years ago, was a lady full of life, love, and laughter. She adored her family, especially her one and only child, and always enjoyed being in the middle of the fun. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church in Chattanooga and attended Bellevue in Memphis where her son was Minister of Music. Her mischievous grin and infectious giggle will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Blair of Hixson; her parents, brothers Ralph and Clyde Montgomery; sister, Louise Ayers; and her first granddaughter, Christine Marie Farr. She is survived by her brother John Montgomery (Gay); her son, Rev. Mark E. Blair (Mardi); her step-daughter Linda B. Farr (Dr. John Jr.), grandchildren John Farr III (Geri); Kathleen F. Stinnett (Tyler); Kristen Blair; and Hunter Blair (engaged to Amanda). She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, and an untold number of good friends. The family will receive friends from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Pollard Chapel at Bellevue Baptist Church on Thursday, August 11 with a service to follow with Dr. Steve Gaines and Dr. Darrell Clarke presiding. She will be buried with her beloved husband Ken in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with her son Rev. Mark Blair presiding.
