Edward Linn Blaine, Jr
Birth: Feb. 19, 1901
Death: Apr. 30, 1990
California, USA

Edward Linn Blaine Jr was the grandson of Seattle Pioneer David Blaine (Seattle's first minister) and his wife Catharine Paine (Seattles first schoolteacher). Catharine was also the youngest signer of the Declaration of Sentiments during the historic Seneca Falls meeting that marked the beginning of the women's suffrage movement in the USA.

Edward's parents, David and Catharine, fled Seattle via a ship in the harbor, to avoid the Indian attacks. They ended up in Linn county Oregon where their 2nd child, Edward Linn Blaine was born. This is the origin of Linn as a family name.

Edward Linn Blaine Jr married Nataliene Hawkins on November 23, 1921 in Seattle Washington. The brides sister F Marie Hawkins was a witness. They raised two children in Seattle and enjoyed three Seattle grandchildren.

Edward Linn Blaine Jr was the President of Peoples Bank. He is credited with inventing the Bank Drive Up window. He was the Seattle Seafair King Neptune three times.

My gracious grandfather. I remember combing your hair, watching you make things. I remember your walk, your laugh, and the pleasure, and amusement you took watching your grand kids. So glad I got to dance with our at the wedding.
