Houston County Courier - June 10, 2007 Obit for Eddie Blackwell, age 81 of Crockett, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 in the east TX Medical Center-Crockett. Mr.Blackwell was born May 10, 1926 in Elm Mott, TX and was a resident of Crockett for the past 60 years. Mr. Blackwell was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. Mr. Blackwell was a member of the Fairfield VFW Post 5872 and he was also a member of the Crockett Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years. Mr. Blackwell was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist Faith.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Eddie Blackwell were held Tuesday, June 5, at 2;00 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Reggie Gregory officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crockett Volunteer Fire Department, 200 N. 6th Street, Crockett, TX 75835.
