Frank Douglas Blacker, respected citizen of White Heath, died in his home there early Friday morning, January 2, 1925, age 64 years, 5 mos. and 4 days. of heart trouble from which he had been a sufferer for several months. Funeral services were conducted in the home on Sunday afternoon with interment in Monticello cemetery. The pallbearers were members of the Monticello Modern Woodmen Lodge.
He was born July 28, 1860 near Centerville OH the s/o John and Sarah Orrison Blacker. When but a baby he came with his parents to Illinois and settled in Piatt County where he spent the rest of his life. The latter years being spent on the farm in Sangamon Township and in White Heath.
He was married in 1883 to Melissa Honselman and to them were born two sons: Park and Clyde, both of White Heath; who with their mother and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Jean Flanigan, survive. He also leaves 8 grandchildren.
The deceased was the eldest of eleven children, leaving two sisters and 4 brothers. They are Mrs. Matilda Robison, DeLand; Mrs. Lena Stiverson, Monticello; Arthur of Hicksville OH; Henry of White Heath and J.A. and Charles of Monticello.
He was a man of sterling character and highly respected by all who knew him.
