Elaine Black Bigler, 68, died at the home of her daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 22, 1990 of a lingering illness.


Born September 29, 1921 in Blanding, Utah to Holmer P. and Emma Jamison Black.


She married Boyd Jay Bigler on May 2, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.


She was a member of the Grant Sixth Ward and South Jordan Twentieth Ward. She served faithfully in the Primary and Relief Society for many years.


Survivors: son and four daughters, Mark S. Bigler, Mrs. Beverlee Toone, Mrs. Paul B. (Jalayne) Crosland, Mrs. Scott D. (Laurie) Kotter, Mrs. Cary L. (Susan) Smith, twenty-one grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Jay, her son Brent and grandson Donovan Toone.


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 1990 at 12:00 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), where friends may call on Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
