Dora Black Bailey, 85, widow of Samuel Charles Bailey of #3 Riverside Town Circle, died November 2, 2013.

A native of Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late David U. and Mattie Henderson Black, a retired textile employee and member of Victor United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Paulette Bailey of Anderson; two brothers, Donald U. Black of Greer and Lyman Marion Black of Paris, TN; two sisters, Kathleen Purde of Annapolis, MD and Mrs. Lila Wilson of Greer; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by one son, James Maxwell Bailey; one brother, Clifton Black; two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Pittman and Mrs. Maggie Ragan and one great-grandchild, Savannah Grace Bailey.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Victor United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Les Gardner. Burial will follow in Mauldin United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

The family is at the home of the sister, Lila Wilson, Buddy Ave., Greer, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victor UMC, P.O. Box 1147, Greer, SC 29652.
