Mrs. R. Best Of Knox Dies In Cleveland
Mrs. Robert O. (Pollyanna) Best, 50, of Knox died at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness. She was born September 14, 1917 in Knox, daughter of Chauncey B. and Mary Thomas Black. She spent her entire life in the Knox area and in 1936 she married Robert O. Best, who survives.
Mrs. Best was a member of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church and was the church organist for a number of years. She was also a member of several church organizations and the Clarion Order of Eastern Star. She was a graduate of White Memorial High School in Knox and for the past 12 years has been employed as a secretary for Knox Glass.
Survivors include her husband, her parents, a son, Robert C. Best; a daughter, Mrs. Stan (JoAnne) Sulkowiski of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Charles Black of Knox; two grandchildren, Lisa Ann and Julie Lara Sulkowlski.
Removal was made to the Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home in Knox where friends are being received. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Cecil Robert Taylor, pastor of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Knox Union Cemetery.
