Peru - Mrs. Florence Lees, 76, of 625 E. Third street, ill five months, died at 5 am Friday in the Robert Long hospital, Indianapolis.
Born in Ohio Oct. 24, 1882, she was the daughter of Marion and Addie Arnett Black. Her first husband, William Bailey, was killed with a daughter in a 1918 train accident near Rich Valley. She later was married to Lonzo D. Lees, who died in 1956.
Survivors are two sons; Russell Bailey and Alton L Lees, both of here; a daughter, Mrs. Don Brookins, Leesburg, Ind.; two brothers, and a sister: Rollie, of here; Richard, Gary; Mrs. Sylvia Sampson, of here; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Drake-Flowers funeral home. Friends may call there after ten o'clock Sunday. Final rites will be at the Drake-Flowers funeral home Monday afternoon at 1:30. The Reverend Russell Shalley will officiate and burial will be in the Friends cemetery at Wabash.
