Mary E. Black, 88, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Millersville, passed away on Saturday morning, April 23, 2016 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. Born in Lancaster and a lifelong area resident, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Pearl (Orr) Hess and the wife of the late Buel F. Black, who passed on March 29, 1993.

Mary had worked for various retail stores in downtown Lancaster, including W.T. Grant and Hess Department Stores. She enjoyed to read and travel to mountain destinations, but most of all, loved going to garage sales with her sister Shirley.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children; Deborah Bender (James) of Lancaster and Keith Black (Sandy) of Conestoga, her five grandchildren; Leanne, Matthew, Stephanie, Andrew, and Melany who fondly called her Memaw, her 8 great grandsons, and her sister Shirley Snyder of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of her Life at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 W. Orange St., (corner of Orange & Pine St.), Lancaster, PA on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM with a viewing on Friday from 10-11:00 AM.
