ANDREW J. BLACK
Of 2538 Third Avenue, died at his home at 10:30 o'clock last night after an extended illness. He was born at Greenwood Furnace, Sept. 11, 1875, a son of George W. and Hannah (Trexelor) Black. His wife, Rebecca Cartwright, died in 1942.
He was a former freight conductor on the Pittsburgh division, retiring In 1937. Mr. Black was a Baptist by faith and a member of the B. of R. T.
Surviving are a son, Leroy and a daughter, Miss Ruth, both at home; J. Albert Black, a sister, Mrs. Mabel Johnson, both of Altoona; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the N. A. Stevens Mortuary after 7 o'clock this evening.

BLACK – Funeral services for Andrew J. Black of 2538 Third Avenue will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in charge of Rev. Elmer Horner. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends are being received at the N. A. Stevens Mortuary.
