He was born August 3, 1945 in Lovell, Wyoming to Carmon Alonzo and Margaret Hopkin Black. On November 11, 1967, he married Colleen Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brent owned and operated Brent Black Automotive for 20 years. He loved being in the outdoors and camping with his family.

Survivors: wife, Colleen, Sandy; son, Marty (Kim), West Jordan; daughters, Kathy Cox (Gary), West Jordan; Jamie Black, Sandy; grandchildren, Jordan, Katelyn and Alex Black; mother, Margaret Black, Sandy; brother, C. Ray (Roberta), Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his father, Carmon A. Black.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 2, 1999, at 1 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
