Charles Clay "Bo" Black, age 60, of Indian Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born May 11, 1951, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Clifford and Pearl Pennington Black.

Bo was a self-employed building contractor. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and friends. He also loved to hunt, fish, and garden. Bo was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lee Black, who passed away January 9, 2011.

Bo is survived by his wife, Gay Blevins Black; one son, Dougie Black and wife Fawn, and one daughter, Chinena Smith and husband Mark, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Braden Smith, Dawson Smith, Hunter Bo Black, Kaylee Black, and Nicholas Black.

Bo is also survived by six sisters, Venita Gail Kelly and husband Larry, and Sheila Ferryman and husband Terry, all of Springfield, Ohio, Susan Wright and husband Teddy of Clearfield, Kentucky, Beverly Black of Morehead, Kentucky, Denise Cox and husband Paul of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and Tannie Otis and husband Jerry of Owingsville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and special friends, Ricky Brown, Charlie Stamm, and Bob Razor.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennington Cemetery on Big Brushy.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.

Pallbearers: J. R. Grimshaw, Ivan Krow, Kyler Wright, Mark Kelly, David Kelly, Jeff Black, Marcos Gomez, and Bo Dustin Otis.

Honorary Pallbearers: Eddie Ray Riddle and Jordy Smith.
