Beatrice Bjork
CRYSTAL FALLS — Beatrice V. Bjork, 77, of Buck Lake in Alpha, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
Beatrice was born Dec. 24, 1924 in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late John and Angeline Bucek.
She attended school in Crystal Falls and graduated from Crystal Falls High School. She married Walter Bjork on June 28, 1952 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1986. They enjoyed living at Buck Lake for many years.
In 1991, Beatrice moved to the Iron County Medical Care Facility. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church.
Beatrice enjoyed gardening and sewing, but most of all, taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Mary Fran) Bjork of Ishpeming and Walter (Patti Ann) Bjork of Iron Mountain; two brothers, John Bucek and Tom (Joyce) Bucek, both of Crystal Falls; three sisters, Mary Minick of Chicago, Sophia Huska of Crystal Falls and Margie Skibo of Crystal Falls; three grandchildren, Marc Bjork, Melissa Bjork and Dustin Bjork; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Bucek and two sisters, Angie Hollick and Helen Minick.
Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow Friday at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Ray Zeugner will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Huska, John Bjork, Randy Bjork, Stanley Bjork, Bernie Kosiba and David Miller.
The family is being served by the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home of Crystal Falls.
