Katherine Lucille Parker Bivins, age 60 passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.
Katherine was born on February 18, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Allene Dudley Parker. She was preceeded in death by her brother John Wesley Parker, Jr., and her beloved grandparents Horace Edward and Myrtle Lucille Summers Dudley.
Katherine is survived by her Mother Allene Dudley Lightsey of Riverdale, GA. A sister Mollie Parker (Marshall) Story of Forest Park. Sons Ray Edward (Amanda) Bivins of Rentz, GA., and Christopher L. (Tawana) Story of Forest Park, GA. Grandson's Jonathan Lee and Logan Caleb Bivins of Rentz. An Aunt Barbara A. Dudley Crumbley, and Uncle Lee R. (Sandy) Dudley. Nephews Marshall (Ginger) Story, Jr of Thomaston, GA and John Brandon Story of Forest Park, GA. Several cousins and great nephews.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
Kathy was a wonderful person. Loved Nature trips, camping out in the TN mountains or near the water in SC, family cook outs, flowers of most any kind. Kat also had a soft spot for animals and would rescue puppies or kittens. If you needed help in any way possible she was always there.
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt, and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me as I used to be as I will
remember you all, and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
