LaNell Maxine Bisson passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006, at the age of 82. She was born on June 2, 1924, to James and Minnie Lee Park in Austin, Texas. As a child of the Great Depression, she knew well the virtues of hard work, fortitude, charity, and perseverance.
She is survived by her loving husband, August P. Bisson of Austin; three sons and their spouses, Jim and Cheryl Bisson, Charles and Kay Bisson, and Patrick and Barbara Bisson; two daughters and their spouses, Mary Ann and Jack Bradshaw and Cathy and Danny Carter; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bradford Park and L.G. "Dude" Park; and a special niece, Camilla Sanders.
Though her passing was sudden and it is hard to let go, we will always remember her as a loving, caring, and concerned wife, mother and grandmother of strong faith, good example, and kind spirit. We all have our own special remembrances and her legacy will live on through our memories.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/ Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Romanski, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Cook- Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Honoring Mrs. Bisson as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Matt Bisson, John Bisson, Troy Eckhardt, Heath Eckhardt, Steve Bradshaw, Keith Gall, Brian Dickman, and Eddie Kelly. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made in her memory to the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Awareness or to a charity of your choice.. http://www.mem.com
