Bunyon Bissette
July 30, 1935 -- April 11, 2008
SIMS -- Bunyon Bissette, 72, died Friday, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Bailey town cemetery. The Rev. Reuben Cason will officiate.
Mr. Bissette is survived by two daughters Carolyn Sue Bryant and husband, Bobby Lee, of Bailey and Hattie Rhodes and husband, Terry, of Spring Hope; two sons, Billy Wayne Bissette and wife, Vivian, of Bailey and Jimmy Lee Bissette of Sims; three granddaughters, Brooke Bryant, Meghan Bissette and Kimberly Hall, all of Bailey; two grandsons, Chad Bissette of Wilson and Terry Rhodes Jr. of Spring Hope; two sisters and one brother; a special friend, Mary Lou Carter and her daughter, Amy Carter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Joyner Bissette; one son, Michael R. Bissette and Mr. Bissette's loving dog, Bentley.
Mr. Bissette was a loving husband and father. He loved fishing, hunting, and his friends. He was also a long-time member of White Oak Free Will Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at White Oak Hill FWB Church, 3967 West Hornes Church Road, Bailey, and at other times at his home, 11110 Rock Quarry Road, Sims.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to White Oak Hill FWB Church Building Fund, 3967 West Hornes Church Road, Bailey, NC 27807.
Arrangements are by Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.
