From the Rome (NY) Daily Sentinel dated 8/26/1897 -- "Verona Mills, Aug. 26 -- The home of Willard Bissell was saddened yesterday morning when Mr. and Mrs. Bissell awoke to find their infant child had died during the night. Coroner Nock decided that death was caused by hemorrhage and deemed an inquest unnecessary. The
funeral will be held at 10 A. M. tomorrow at the house and 11 at the German Lutheran Church at Churchville."
