ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. BAXTER
Edinburg Resident Dies in Indianapolis Hospital -Funeral Sunday.
Edinburg, March 5 - Mrs. Viola Baxter, 56, died Friday noon in the Robert Long hospital at Indianapolis, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Mutz chapel, with the Rev. A. J. Coble in charge. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
Mrs. Baxter was born in Indiana March 3, 1881, and was the daughter of Lanson and Hanner Bishop. She was married Dec. 10, 1904, to Louis Baxter. Six children were born of this union: Oliver, of Edinburg, Glenn, Mrs. Hester McQueen, Mrs. Grace Everetts, Mrs. Janie Eads, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Mary Streeval of Edinburg.
Five brothers, Charles, and Jeff of Edinburg, George of Columbus, William of Indianapolis, and John of Scipio, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Fuel, Mrs. Anna Lloyd and Mrs. Sarah Olmstead of Columbus also survive.
The body was brought to the home of Orville Streeval on Thompson street, where it will remain until 11:30 o'clock Sunday, when it will be taken to the chapel.
Mrs. Baxter had spent most of her life at Edinburg and was a member of the Methodist church.
