H. LOREN BISHOP, 76, of Canon City died Friday. He had been a civil service maintenance supervisor and previously was a miner in the the Cripple Creek gold camp until 1948.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1001 S. Hancock Ave. Evergreen Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Bishop was born June 21, 1914, in Colorado Springs to William and Susie (Heffley) Bishop. He also had lived in Independence, Colo. He attended school in Colorado Springs.
He was married Sept. 5, 1939, in Raton, N.M., to Helen Vancil , who survives.
He also is survived by a son, Paul of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Carole Maytag and Patricia Spence, both of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
