Mrs. Malinda Bishop Duvall, age 51, of Huguley, Al passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Mrs. Duvall is survived by her husband, Allan Duvall; her two children, Roxie (Nick) Duvall Corley of Beulah, AL and Josh (Ashley) Sturges of Lanett, AL; her grandson, Lyric Sturges; her mother and father, Faye and David Bailey of Huguley, AL; her three siblings, Rodney (Sherry) Bishop of Lanett, Al, Damon (April) Bailey of Huguley, AL, and Casey (Jason) Coggins of Valley, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal father, Byron Bishop; and her grandparents, Cassie and Bruce Bishop and Anna and Ethridge Overton.
Mrs. Duvall was born on October 29, 1964 in Langdale, AL. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Huguley. She was a very hardworking lady who was selfless, sweet, and loving. She loved her children, her grandchild, and her dogs. She was a wonderful daughter to her parents, David and Faye Bailey. She excelled in her role as the matriarch of the family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 4:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Lanett. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
